The Scum Kings season three ended this past week, and we're excited to announce that the Scum Kings will return for a season four starting next week!
We continue our run through Cassie Alexander's amazing Dragon Prince series with book four starting today! There are seven books in the series, and we plan on producing all seven for you for free.
A new chapter. Every day.
We quietly released the new epic fantasy audiobook from our Broadsword team: Kings Folly! You can check it out and subscribe today!
When an earthquake tears open the mountain that has protected the entire country from what lies on the other side, two unlikely messengers are sent north: Jonny Smith, a blacksmith's son who has spent his life pursuing magic, and Sam, a hunter who reads the wilderness like a language she was born knowing. Their mission is simple—reach the capital and warn it of what's coming through the newly created pass before they arrive, Mountain Warriors. The terrain they face will make it anything but.
Okay, you are going to have to trust us on this one. We had a fun idea and ran with it. Someone in the Broadsword Studio writers room said, "Wouldn't it be fun to do The Great Gatsby in the style of Conan?" And as we discussed how amusing it sounded, we all got more and more excited. It just fits so *perfectly*. So the team said, "Why not? Let's do it!"
So we did.
And starting this week we introduce "In The Style Of..."
What if the greatest stories ever told were forged in the fires of a different creator?
Welcome to In the Style Of..., an immersive short-form audio drama series that collides beloved literary classics with wildly unexpected authorial voices.
In our premiere season, we journey to the shores of West Egg—but not the one you know. We’ve taken F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby and stripped away the jazz and the glitter, replacing it with the heavy, blood-soaked, mythic dread of pulp legend Robert E. Howard (creator of Conan the Barbarian).
Here, the Roaring Twenties are dead. Tom Buchanan is an apex warlord, the Valley of Ashes is a primordial wasteland, and Jay Gatsby is a doomed, fanatical acolyte reaching for a green light that burns with dark magic. Put on your headphones and step into the literary multiverse. This is classic fiction, reborn
Thanks to a sharp-eared listener, we found six City of Rivers and Rust episodes that contained problematic audio. We re-recorded and remastered those, so the entire run of episodes should now sound pristine. We also updated the binge episodes that contained them. For those of you who that were affected by this, we are sincerely sorry!
But... thanks to writer Cassie Alexander, we will be launching book 2 on Thursday, with no delays!
Interrupting a 600 year old vampire's retirement is never a good idea.
After six centuries of bloodshed, Greg just wanted to watch TV. He'd traded vampire wars for Real Housewives, ancient feuds for Cheetos, and his castle in Eastern Europe for a small house in West Hollywood. Life was perfect - until someone murdered his human servant. Now, with a detective asking questions, young vampires causing chaos, and his bloodlust awakening, Greg must shake off retirement and remember who he used to be: Grgur Popović, the most feared vampire lord in history.
And he's going to do it all without missing his favorite reality shows.
We are so excited to announce the retun of Andi and Damien in the third book of Cassie Alexander's dragon shifter audiobook Owned By a Dragon. The first daily chapter releases on Wednesday, April 1.
Hi all, we just finished Book 2 of Owned By a Dragon, and the next book is being worked on for a new podcast season. We expect to launch the new book next week, but we don't have an exact date yet. Thanks for listening!
Our apologies for the delay over the past two weeks in publishing our weekly binge episodes. As you can tell in the latest binge episodes we've been upgrading how they are stitched together for a more seamless listening experience. Our schedule is back on track, and we hope you like the improvements!
We recently improved how we merge episodes for our binge and compilation episodes. Unfortunately, this led to the last two weeks having compilations with full episodes stitched together. That should now be resolved.
Sorry for any disruption you've seen in our publishing schedule. We've just made some changes to our writing teams across two of our studios.
This is a new space where we'll be posting quick, informal updates about what we're working on across all our studios. Stay tuned for production notes, sneak peeks, and release announcements!
